Hello all, I just got a 97 prelude and I don't know anything about this car. for example, how can i tell what model it is (sh)? it has auto tranny and sport shift as well. it also has vtec...how many hp and torque does it have? also which gear should i shift if i am in auto mode:d1,d2,d3,d4? please help. I never had an automatic car before, this is my second car, so don't laugh if i don't know about it.

 

You have a base. It has 195hp and 156 ft/lbs. That is what the engine is generating. By the time the power gets to the wheels where it really matters, the power goes down to 155-160hp. You can drive the car regularly or shift it yourself by using the gears. It's a good reliable car so have fun.
