i had the same engine and trans (jdm B16A y1 non lsd Trans) in my 89 std hatch and transferred everything over to my 91 dx hatch, everything worked fine in my 89, the problems started after i swapped chassis. The issue that im having is that the reverse lights wont work, also if i have the car in reverse, i can turn the key off and take it out... the car keeps running until it is taken out of reverse, im sure the problems are related, this is driving me nuts, ive seached found some threads with the same issues but no one seems to have an answer... please help!!!!

I know I this happen to me when I swapped a eg coupe automatic cabin harness Into a eg coupe dx manual.
point being if your 89 STD hatch was manual. and the 91 dx hatch was an automatic.
it might be the fact that I your dx hatch is automatic and the cabin or engine harness is so the ecu/engine/transmission wires don't work well since in an automatic when you go into reverse its a wire signal that's sent and triggers it also turning the lights on in the back.

as for a manual well its a manual car I'm not so shure how it works on manuals but I think you get an idea.

thank you for your response, sorry for not being more clear, both vehicles were 5 speed. Ive thought about the wiring too, havent had a chance to check, there is a pin c10 which is labled as being brake? does anyone know what the funtion of this is and if it may have anything to do with the reverse issues im having
