Hey Guys,
Maybe you know of a company that makes a low profile side molding for CRXs. The only alternatives the net comes up with look worse than OEM. Let me know if you have a source.
The desired look I want is a "Shaved" profile, but not just pulling off the moldings and filling the holes. I think it is the EK model that has the body colored moldings that are smoothed into the body lines. I am probably going to end up molding them from fiber glass.
Putting any graphics on the side of a CRX simply doesn't look right with a black line running across it. Leaving the bottom trim black would look right, I'm not sure about painting the bump rail on the bumpers.

You would think with a little craftsmanship and some carbon fiber, someone could mold filler pieces that would look good and not weigh much more than tape. I am probably setting myself up to make a mess, spend some money, and get an education.

Why not just make flat metal filler strips? Use thin sheet metal and make long strips and tack them in several places, grind the welds smooth, smooth any seams, and paint it. Shouldnt be heavy at all and seems pretty easy to make.
