What kind of gas do you normally get?
Well, just curious which octane do you always get, and with what engine?
I did a search, but most of them seemed to be like which gas stations do you usually go to or just which gas do you usually get, but not much with answers as to which gas you get and the engine you're running. Like is it ok to use 87 gas for b16s or b20s for example? Or do you run a risk of messing up the engine in the long run if you don't use premium? Thanks in advance.

factory recommendations are 91 octane, but i get 93
i notice that when i put in 89(just once though)
gas mileage really hurt bad, i think it was like 19 or whatever, i normally get 27+
but i was running m@d vt3k y0!

Only reason to put high octane gas in your car is if you have a really high compression engine or turbo. higher octane gas will help prevent detenation because it is less votile. Common misconception is you will get higher performance with higher octane, gas company's make millions off this idea.
B18C engines have high compression and will retard the timing if it senes any knock. So if you were to put 87 in your GSR, you might notice a change in performance as the ECU is retarding the timing.
Any other engines are fine to run 87. If you do notice a change in gas mileage when going from 87 to 93, then detenation is occuring when your running 87.

If I'm going to burn through a tank on a drive I'll do 89, the rest of the time chevron 93. If they sold 91 between 93 and 89 I'd go with that most of the time, but gotta love texas for the 93.
well when I had supercharger!
