I have a 99. Recently put the motor from a 2001 in it. Swapped out the harness and ecu. Had a friend who is a honda mechanic come over to reprogram the ecu to my key so it would start. Problem we are having is it won't take. He has tried everything and all we can get is either "immobilizer system cancelled" or "harness open or short".
We have used the brake bypass code to get it running and everything seems fine. And I know the harness is good.
A friend of his said he has had that happen before and had to go back to the old harness and install the distributor from the old motor. I really don't want to do that. I have been without a car for over a month.
Anyone have any ideas?
