Default Testing my new setup this past weekend - Vid/Pic

Been a while since I've posted, here's a vid of my first event with my new suspension and wheel/tire setup. Not enough time to shakedown before timed laps started lol. Comments and criticism welcome!

Kswap R ftw

I missed my first planned track event due to a leaky transmission seal. Looks like fun

Nice! It looks like you know that track well.
Any more info like max speed, lateral g's, etc...

Max speed I was able to reach was 94mph/150kmh. Fastest speeds of the day from the other drivers/classes ranged from 95mph-104mph.

Once I learn how to maximize my grip and gain my desired rotation, I'll work on the cars power. I/H/E with stock ECU with 5.1FD and Wavetrac LSD is what I am currently working with for power/drivetrain.

Thanks for the compliment, were you there Sunday? Say hi next time lol. One thing I miss is having a friendly Honda community, as opposed to those that constantly bash haha. Hence why I <3 ITR Expo haha.

But yeah I'm planning to be at the next event as well. Will be my first time running Cayuga in almost 2 years.

Btw, I am currently running on Koni/GC with 14k/16k rates.

Can feel better. Will be working on getting more rotation on the car in the coming months with other changes to the car.

I am running the OTS Koni/GC kit with custom spring rates, unfortunately that means the Koni's are just the regular sport valving, not enough damping power for my high spring rates (14kf/16kr). I really only felt a difference from full soft to full stiff (then back a quarter turn).

Doubt I'll have time this season, so most likely over the winter will either revalve my current shocks, or upgrade to a Koni race shock.

Also undecided on sway bar set up to give me rotation, I have a thread in the suspension section on H-T for opinions and tips: https://honda-tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes-54/need-help-car-rotation-itr-3162758/

-Remove front sway and upgrade from oem 22mm to ASR 24mm rear sway, or
-Keep front sway and upgrade rear to ASR 24mm or ASR 32mm(0.095)

...decisions

The car has a diff--getting rid of the front sway usually works for open diff cars, but for the R I think you're going to want to keep that front bar.

However, I wouldn't go throwing any money on parts until you can improve your shocks and get some that'll properly handle those rates.

Sway bars are tuning devices, not items to completely revamp your suspension.

you are going to need the race shock, the ots yellows cant be revalved to handle rates that high

Yes, I've read the knowledge posted on here throughout the years lol. Definitely will, and thanks for the advice everyone. Still in the process of building the car, so I'm happy for any tips/advice to help do it correctly.

So just a few updates, I spoke with Koni and they advised that they are able re-valve my current shocks with their race valving to support my spring rates. But also offered up the Race shocks as another option.

I also took heR out to a different track over the weekend for further shakedown. Seat time with the new setup and changing tire pressures seem to have helped a great deal. I was able to get the rear to slide in during corner entry by changing my usual braking and turn in points. I guess it was more time needed and me that needed the adjusting for now, as opposed to the sway bars.
