Default Did i damage my new halfshaft?

Reinstalling drv side halfshaft. Fully installed in transacted and the lower ball joint is about an inch too far out to install. Inner boot looks extended or stretched. Read warnings about not pulling on shaft, but possibly too late. Am I hosed?

Note the 'spider' tripod. The three bearings are installed onto this and fit into the three grooves in the cup. If you can realign the bearings and they have not slid off their respective spindles you should be fine. The grease is pretty heavy and will usually keep the bearings in place due to stiction.

Thanks, brought it to a local shop and they reassembled for me, cost of a new clamp. Running fine now.
