To mod a Honda Accord 2000 or not?
I'm completely new to modding cars and just basic knowledge of cars in general.
Its been a long dream of mine to have a sick looking PC and a sick looking car. I've achieved the pc dream so i'm moving onto cars, I currently drive a 2000 Honda Accord and was wondering if itd be worth it to mod? I had hoped by now I could buy/find a celica or RSX and start the modding with either of those but nope. So in the end, mod my accord or wait till I get a celica or RSX?
Any links to sites/vids to basic modding or basic car knowledge would be very helpful.

Accords have a superior suspension design to the RSX. I loved my '02 RSX-S, it had minimal mods to it, was good looking, had a great interior, and got great gas mileage. The suspension design is ****(poor geometry), the rear binds almost instantly, and you can do almost no amount of lowering without the front steering angle getting all out of whack unless the tie rod mount is modified. Kinda fragile transmissions, too.
Is the Accord a fast car? Not without some serious $/work put into the engine. Yours can make some pretty decent power with bolt ons/tuned. Great engine though. Very fun platform, loads of room, great suspension design, great looking, very reliable and tough. I've had civic's, integras, RSX's, and Accords: I like Accords the best, over-all. Hate civics, mostly because of the styling/interior. I like Integras much more in those aspects.
The 7th(? 98+) gen Celicas are a VERY good platform, but I'd rather have a GT than a GT-S because of gearing/torque. Light, nimble, good wheel selection, decent suspension design. EXTREMELY capable cars, absolutely dominate the HS class in SCCA Solo/Autocross. Rules are changing next year, and HS/GS are being lumped into one, so take that as it is.

I've thought about engine mods myself on my 2000 Accord, but it has the auto trans, so that is out of the question. No way it would stand up to abuse. It can barely handle the stock horsepower, although I believe most the failures are due to a mistake during installation. Something about Loctite not being used.
But if you have a 5-speed, I think 200+ HP in a car just under 3000 lbs would be fun.
