Default 1999 Civic SI Parking Brake Issue

I just replaced my rear brake pads, rotors, calipers, and both parking brake cables on my 1999 SI. For what it matters, the cables are genuine Honda parts. The calipers are remanufactured (they say Nissin on them but I believe the brand is Fenco).

Anyways, we got everything changed but the left side parking brake is not grabbing nearly as hard as the right. After a handful of clicks, my right wheel is stopped pretty tight but the left wheel can still spin (it does drag a little bit).

The bracket by the parking brake handle turns diagonally when engaged ( see picture in this post: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/%2Apic%2A-e-brake-only-engages-one-wheel-cable-stretched-3063418/ )

I see a few other people talking about the issue but no definitive solution. All my parts are brand new so nothing is stretched or worn out. Is there a way to adjust each side individually at the caliper to get things evened up? Or is it supposed to self adjust after pumping the brakes a few times?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

One cable should be slightly longer than the other. What are the part numbers of the cables you received? Did you accidentally put them on the wrong sides?

I can understand a minor length difference but this is enough to make the left side nearly unfunctional.

47510-S04-932 and 47560-S04-932 are the numbers. The 510 went on the right and the 560 went on the left. I made sure to cross reference the part number on the bag and the receipt before putting them on to make sure they went on the right sides.

Well, at least those are the correct part numbers. Did you route them properly through the trailing arm, and through the floor pan tunnel? If memory serves, there should be three bolt locations on each cable. Did you remember to put the holder bracket behind the parking brake back on? It's part #10 in this diagram.

Thanks for your replies.

Yeah, I actually went bolt-by-bolt undoing the old parking brake cable and putting in the new one up at the same time to make sure everything was attached/ran identically as the old setup. I thought by doing it this route, there was no way I could mess it up I'm no car expert but I'm nearly certain everything is correctly installed. That's why I was wondering if the caliper was entirely self-adjusting or if there was some manual adjustments that could be made.

I almost forgot the holder bracket! But that's definitely on there too.
