Default Someone Stole My "ACURA" Wheel Caps, Now What?

Well I got my first dose of this s*** today (i'm only 17). I walk to my car after school and see two suspcious guys standing a couple of feet near my car, even glancing at me. I think nothing of it and drive off. When I get home, I walk around the car and find 2 of my "ACURA" covers from my alloy rims gone. Yeah it's nothing compared to the stuff some of you guys have gone through but still this is the worst feeling ever, I try so hard to keep this car nice and clean and in good condition, I'm quiet, I don't have any enemies, yet s***heads out there have the nerve to do this. I want to take a bat to their heads so bad right now...but any way here's my question, what are my options now?

My dad was saying take the other 2 out and just deal with it, but I hate the look of it without the covers on it. I'm not gonna suffer with it now because some ****in bastard did this to me, what do you guys think I should do? I have 2 spare ones in the trunk from the previous owner that aren't in as good shape as the stolen ones so I was thinking I could just put those in and act like it never happened. Or are there any replacements out there that will fit on 96 SE alloy rims that wouldn't attract those ********? Someone told me those "ACURA" covers like mine are the ones that people steal. I'm just a kid so sorry if this a stupid thread, i'm just really confused and frustrated right now.

Do you have a picture of them? I could try to get some from work. I can't believe people actually steal these things!

I think he is talking about the center caps for his alloy wheels. Alloys don't look cool without them.

I'd just put in the two old ones and forget about it. There is nothing you can do about it besides not drive the car. Hey, pretty soon you lose your Acura emblems. Clear corners if you have them. It kinda sucks I know. I lost my Jack Antenna ball one week after putting it on.

take the covers off the other side. 96 gsr/se rims look better like that

I park across the street from my school where its a 30 second walk from my last class to my car (the school parking lot is all the way on the side of the school, you have to fight a lot more traffic and reckless kids on that end). Everyone parks in my area but I guess mine was targeted. I should also tell you I live in Las Vegas where no one gives a crap about you unless marijuana or "$" is involved. I'm very doubtful the school would do anything about it. That's just life I guess...

Well, look at it this way...it could have been worse...MUCH worse. I'm thinking that you should take the other two off since you wouldn't want those stolen too. Those punks who stole the first two covers COULD come back for the other two...you never know! Not trying to scare you or anything, but it's always a good idea to minimize your losses.

GOD, I HATE THIEVES!!!

It hurts but it could've been worse - at least that's what I always say to myself when something like that **** happens, and it's happened quite a lot!! Even though some were minor, it still makes me irate:

August '99 (Union Landing - Union City, CA) - Someone jacked both Type R Red "A" emblems from the front and back. They were thoughtful to use a screwdriver, which went straight to the metal. Damage - $800

March '00 - (UC Davis Parking Lot) - Someone jacked both my stock "A" emblems from the front and back. Again, used some tool and scratched the paint but I just used touch-up to cover the scratches.

February '01 (Newpark Mall - Newark, CA) -Some jacked the Rear "A" only. Damn fuggin' teeny-boppers wanting to hang these emblems from their necks like idiots!!!

The worst one of all (out of all my unfortunate experiences):
June '02 - (In front of my house - Fremont, CA) - OEM Type R Front Lip stolen off my car.....

I know this isn't as bad as stealing the whole car, so that's why I always say "It could've been worse"....

Could have been worse- be greatful that the car was still there for you to drive away in. Suck it up and make lemonade out of lemons. You could take the other center caps off those rims and paint all four rims black or something..... I don't know- everybody has different tastses.

you should have a stakeout. park your car, open all the windows, put a sign on it that says "steal me." then go hide behind a bush. when somebody messes with your car, you and your friends go kick their asses. i always wanted to do that. and i was bein a little sarcastic with the sign, but the rest is serious.

Well I've decided to just take em all off...

http://sososohsodef.freewebspace.com/integnow.jpg

I guess I should get used to the new look. Thanks all for your input

Gizzzer98: I used to hangout at Union Landing and Newpark all the time, I'm from Newark. I always parked in the garage at Newpark, and nothing happened. Our luck always runs out sometime I guess. Sorry to hear about all that

jclau00: "stakeout" has been on my mind ever since I found the car like this. There's nothing more I'd like to do then beat the *** of whoever did it.

Man it looks like you have no locking lugs. GET THEM!!!!! Your wheels will be next to get stolen, the center caps are the 1st step to the lugs.

Just be glad you live in nice weather- it's gonna snow here asap. Crap!

they probably poped your center cap off to see if you got wheel locks, and if you don't they will probably try and take your wheels, B CAREFUL

You're right, right after I took that pic my dad noticed the wheel lock was gone, that's the only corner where it's missing though. He thinks pepboys forgot to put it back on when we got our tires rotated. Nothing but good luck now eh We're gonna go get a replacement right away
