hello! and good day! i want to make a (very stupid i think) question about a S20 transmission,

the 5th gear is a 0.702 ratio, with 26/37 tooth gear... i guess that the 26 tooth its on the imput shaft... now the question..

can i turn the gears, put the 37 in the imput shaft, to make a 37/26 to make a 1.420 ratio, and put it in my 3th gear?

i dont have any experience in tranny, so i think maybe its a really stupid question, thanks a lot!!
