Holy crap! Axle wont come out!
(96 integra Manual)
I have broken 2 huge flatheads, and a tire iron that has 3 lugnut sizes and 1 flatend
Ive even chewed up the block a little trying so hard.
Im literally bending brand name, XL screwdrivers to the point I know there gonna snap, and this thing will not pop. Ive tried doing 2 at a time!
Nothing is working.
Will a pry bar make much of a difference?
Please help!

pry bars work a lot better than screwdrivers.
have you tried turning the axle? sometimes it just comes out easier. also, it helps to hit the screwdriver/pry bar real quick instead of a constant force. like how an impact wrench works.

Well I went out and got a 3 set(only way they sold them) of pry bars.. ill try it again in the morning. Im wishful but im not expecting it to work.. doesnt look any stronger then the screwdrivers or tire iron i broke... we shall see!
I have spun and pryed, spun and pryed, spun and pryed, and it doesnt matter. Ive trying "popping" the screwdriver, Ive tried slowly prying to the point **** breaks, and ive tried hitting it with a hammer soft and hard. I have changed techniques a million times, and still the shaft is in the tranny

If it's the driver's side remove the axle and intermediate/halfshaft and separate them on the work bench.
If it's the passenger's side you may have to resort to a slide hammer or get creative.

FU$*! that was stupid hard. I think I have narrowed the problem down to aftermarket axle with oversize c clip. There are a few guys around that have had same issue. After 2 hours of whacking, and prying, and beating, and giving up only to try more, it finally popped! Funny thing is the time it popped, i didn't even hit it that hard... I was sliding the whole car over when I would use brute force... but the time it actually popped it was like slapping a mosquito strength. when I saw it separated, i didn't even believe it! then I went to the other side, and it wouldn't separate so I took down the whole damn thing in 1 piece. F the D S! lol I didn't even try the bitch pin cause you know it wont cooperate, and i finally I got the trans out!
I replaced the clutch and the throw out bearing rocker arm would not stay in the clip, so every time I would try and put the case back on it would hit the radiator hose and pop off. so I would have to let the jack down, re insert the clip, and try again.
Finally I got the clip to hold the rocker, but I cant seem to line the damn tranny up to get it back in. As soon as I think i'm about to get it lined up, it slips off the jack. Plus I didn't have anything to support the motor, so I jacked the car up a little, and placed a jack stand under the oil pan, and let it back down. I don't think the motor is to high, but I guess its a possibility. This is quickly turning into a nightmare!
I officially missed my deadline of time I have that I can work on it thanks to the stupid axle, and the stupid ball joint (wish I would have knew the ratchet trick on day 1). So I will have to wait and work on it again in a week. In the meantime are there ANY tricks or tips to help me line up this damn thing, or any tips on how to keep it on the jack, or ANYTHING for that matter that can save me a little grief? Ive had enough headache lol
Thanks again for all your help everyone
