Default Koni Yellow/GC on Integra Type R

HT,

It's been years since I've been on here that I don't even recognize many of the screen names and even the layout of HT! So forgive me if my search wasn't exhaustive enough as I remember reading about this issue, but couldn't find anything in my search.

So I'm finally putting my ITR back together after wrecking it on the track 3 years ago... I'm installing a Koni Yellow/GC setup that I bought from another member on here, but the funny thing is that for the rear shocks, the lower "ball" portion that fits inside the rear lower control arms and the bolt goes through seems more narrow that that of the OEM shocks. Has anyone ever experienced this before? I tried to PM the original owner, but he hasn't gotten back to me... I don't even know if he's on here much anymore!

Solutions? I figured I could either just torque the bolt down, but I'd risk breaking the bolt or messing up the LCA (pinching it down), or I could fit washers in between to "bridge the gap." Thoughts?

THANKS!

I run washers and never had any problems.

Look up the part number on the Koni strut. Determine whether it's the correct part for the application first.

This^^

I did not have to run any washers/spacers on my ITR and I ordered rear shocks for the ITR. I have heard of people running 88 CRX Si shocks and you should check if that is what you have.
