Default Reputable Honda builder/Hondata tuner in Midwest?

***Please lock this thread. Some people got the wrong idea about the information I was requesting and it came across wrong. I apologize for the confusion and I got everything sorted I needed. I do not have a bad taste in my mouth with any companies out there. I just needed something done in a pinch. Thank you***

I don't think they are all that familiar with Hondas though. Google and give Profunction a call.

They are.. They just don't advertise as though they do. Very competent people. Used them for several 500whp+ hondas. Chris Black does very, very well.

Have been told good things about MKC Performance in Kansas City. MKC tuned a local guys civic I know on e85 a couple year back and made 719whp 431tq @32psi on the corn.

Also have heard good things from 2nrs of Springfield but it is all mostly just word of mouth, I do not yet know anyone up in my area who has used them yet.

No personal experience with either of them cause I been going to T1 in Texas for a good number of years now for tuning. Although with his change over to GTR's as a primary platform I know I am probably going to have to make a change. Hope not, but realistically my junk is small taters and understandably he is dealing with big $$$ stuff which has to take priority.

Since AMS is very close to me, I may try them. Everything I read about them seems to be top notch.

One of my best friends built 2.0L EVO was tuned at AMS multiple times over the years (of course it has AMS parts all over it as well), towed it up there for him the last time when it made 859awhp. Great people and Chris knows his ****. Did not know they do Honda stuff...

There are several tuners in mn.
Jordan - MAP
Shane - DB Perfomance
LJ - Fullblown Motorsports
Ron - RS Motorsports

My perference is Jordan.
Shane does great work as well.

as for shops, same list as above.
however its important to note not all of those shops "specialize" is honda... many of them primarly work on dometic , evo, gtr, ect... hondas is just part of what they can do/build. So depending on what you need to get done (engine building, porting, fab, wiring ect) each shop may have slightly different capbabilities.

They can if you have the right equipment they feel comfortable with. Basically, no CROME/PRO or any other EPROM-based units, and quality components equipment, (so no eBay kit users). So always call first, and confirm, ladies and gentlemen.
