Hello my name is Jeff. I have owned my 1990 civic Si since 2007. I acquired the car from the 2nd owner, previous owner was her mother. And the car had been sitting since 99. The odometer read 102,xxx miles and a clean title
Besides it missing the carpet and rear seat, this was a complete car . Also it was dent free lol!
Within the first 2 months, the Og d16a6 was swapped out for a B16. Something I slightly regret, due to the fact we removed all the A/c components
Still, I had my red ef si. I was SUPER happy. I drove the car with the B16 until
2009 as my Commuter car. One day coming home from work, a mini van backed out into oncoming traffic. This was a sad day for me. Destroyed my front end, bumper, hood, passenger fender, headlight, ect. I did have slight damage to my radiator support, but avoided damage to the frame.
My original plans when I bought the car was to keep a clean us spec ef(or ed for those who really care). Fresh paint, Clean wheels, lowered, and reliable would have done it for me. Im not about being the fastest car around, I am about having a nice car, with a nice motor on some nice shoes. This isn't gonna be the blingesty of bling build either.
This is gonna be the build for me, and what i want in a car.
I just thought you would enjoy seeing the process.
After my fender bender. I found a SIR front end locally, Very clean! The selling point on it was it was complete with the radiator and the radiator support. Exactly what i needed, win win. After purchasing the front end I took it to my chicks dad, who does a bunch of fab work. We were able to cut the damage part of the front end and weld on the radiator support. I continued to drive the car till about 2010.
I work construction, concrete formwork so you could imagine the beating my car was taking. I ended up Buying a truck for work and was finally able to park the hatch.
So here we are now 2013. My car has been parked unattended and unloved since 2010. About 11 months ago I began the de-mantle of it. Its a Slow process but I'm piecing it back together. I have parts all spread out through the house and garage. My chick isnt the happiest when she opens my closet or my daughters.
Sad to say, I lost alot of pictures i have taken over the past year of the build.
thanks to Iphones not having memory cards. Luckily I"ve been uploading some of the pictures to instagram. I recenlty purchased a camera and will be taking photos of the build with that, as soon as i gain some progress on it.
But now that you know my car. Lets see it
----------------'--------------------
the night i drove it home. two tires were bad

Put a new exhaust on it mudguards and all 4 rims.
that is my Old Da that i dearly miss.

Fav set up i had on the ef. OZ racing rims with rays extended lug nuts

the b16 swap

dropped it on some ksports and some circuit 10s
my friends old hf and my si we used to drive to work together in separate cars lol
