New Edelbrock intake/throttle body: adjust plate?
I installed a new Performer X and matching Edelbrock throttle body on my D-series, and noticed the throttle plate has no full-open stopper.
I slapped it on to see, and depending on how I adjust the cable, it will go over-horizontal.
Should i just datalog the TPS and tighten the cable down when it reads 100%?

Are you sure the stop screw isn't missing.
Or is there no tab at all to stop the throttle plate?. Its usually under the spring.
Adjusting the cable for wot will work but what about when it slams shut? Its going to eventually start sticking.

There is a throttle "shut stopper" screw, but nothing stopping it opening.

If you click this link, you can then click on "360* view" to get a really good look at the throttle body. I just went out to the garage and looked, and mine is exactly the same. Adjustable throttle stop for when it's closed, but nothing for W.O.T.

the metal tab you see ontop in the pic should stop it
it goes over the spring
it hits the alloy case just above the adjustment screw
if its not hitting you might need to bend it a little

I went out and fiddled with it. The piece that holds the cable hits the cast at w.o.t. now, but barely. Hopefully it works.
