just got my new iac valve from honda after the civic popped a code and it runs like a dream now no problems.

the issue im having is that when i turn the ac on the rpm dosnt increase it actually goes down, then when i turn the ac off the idle goes back up. (idling at about 750 now nothing on.)

isnt that backwards? isnt the idle sapost to go up with the ac and back down when i turn it off?



also for resetting the idle speed for a Y7 motor do you disconect the iac valve connector and try to reach the 500ish mark? i read that online but it was for Y5 and Y8 motors with 2p connectors where i have a 3 pin

 

How did this happen? New car? CEL codes? Some background might help.
