Just put down a deposit on a 1998 civic LX 4 door
Hi all. I'll be picking up a beautiful red 1998 Civic LX for my girlfriend next weekend. It has a little over 170,000 miles on the clock, but it drove great when I test drove it.
It has a few minor issues, most of which I have already found answers to on this forum. I have some mechanical background, so I hope to be able to fix most of this stuff myself. From what I can tell, these 1996-2000 civics can run forever as long as you keep the bodies free of rust. I have a feeling that I'm going to love this car, so I might be picking up a second one for myself.
My other car is a turbocharged Subaru, so I have no real desire to mod the civics. I'm definitely looking forward to a car that doesn't guzzle gas, require premium fuel, or need to get the motor replaced every decade.
