Has anyone here done a DYI transmission replacement?
If so how hard/easy? If not, what should it cost through a shop?
This is for a 94 Civic EX.

Have you looked in the service manual? It's time consuming but straightforward if you have the tools and jacks.

 

Have you done it? Looking and being, two different things.

 

The question is whether you've read the section on auto transmission removal and installation. It's very detailed and might answer all of your questions. Give it a try. Then post any unanswered questions you have.

 

They are very complex and time consuming. If you have the patience go for it!
