Car hardly running, check my work
Hi Guys,
Recently replaced the transmission in my CRX, had to remove the throttle body to get to the rear tranny mount bolt. After hooking everything back up I have some serious issues
Engine is OBD1 d15b on a chipped p28 and was running this exact configuration without issue before the swap.
When I first cut the car on, it was struggling to start and once started was searching for an idle, bounced around some then settled out around 800rpm.
Now the fun part, if you give it a bunch of gas at idle it will stall. Easing the throttle you can generally get it to 3k but it will fuel cut back down to idle. I'm pretty sure taking the TB off and putting it on, something didnt work quite right. Also, it generally just doesnt idle right, sometimes it idles ok other times it stumbles around 400rpm sounding like its almost missing and about to stall.
First I noticed the throttle cable was a bit tight so i loosened it so it had slack. Pulled power to ECU and tried restarting, same issue.
Second, I unbolted all the TB nuts and torqued them to spec (20ft lbs). Same issue.
Third, tried a virgin P28, same issue
Fourth, All plugs are firing
Fifth, timing is dead on
edit: No CELs on either ECU, but sure feels like limp mode although ive never had this car in limp mode so im not really sure >.<
One thing I did notice when pulling the TB is that coolant came out when i popped one of the hoses. Is it possible this coolant hasnt refilled and causing this issue? I may be low on coolant as well as I havent checked that . I did let the car get up to temp once.
Tonight I'm going to pull the TB and clean it really well then replace it with a different TB gasket I have. Probably pull the IACV and clean it out real good too. Anything else I am overlooking here? Im sure someone has had a similar issue after messing with the TB at some point
Thanks in advance

Bleed your coolant. Anytime I work on something , and see coolant come rushing out I know ive introduced air into the cooling system and bleed it.
The CEL worked last time it ran
and thank you EFlovin and 99teg, the TPS actually sounds very suspect as there may have been a bit of fighting involved upon removal. Great stuff, should be able to give it all a shot next week ill let you know how it works out.

UPDATE:
All is good, TPS and MAP were plugged in backwards as I didn't make sure the plugs werent the same when I pulled it off I assumed you couldnt plug them in backwards. I did think that it looked weird the way I had it hooked up though. Figured this would be a newb mistake, thanks for all the help though!
