Idol issue maybe?

My 89 ef d16 will is acting crazy.. It will idol normal then start jumping to 1500... And back down... It stops when i take off the idol air control... Any ideas at all?

We were thinking a vacuum leak... And sonething with the throttlebody

No, i think you should use the search function and find out more about the idle air control valve (IACV), what it does, how it works, how to fix it.

haha I was waiting for some kind of Idol reference.

Try cleaning your IACV. Look very good for vacuum leaks.
