Hello there - Figured I'd intoduce myself
Well as the title states, Hello! I'm old to Honda-Tech, but its been a while (about 10 years) since I've posted anything, under a name I can't even remember back when I had a 00 hatch and a 01 GSR. Both stock, but clean - I had plans for the hatch but life happened, moved and now I'm back.
About my ride -
Recently, well about year ago, I purchased a 2001 CR-V SE. Has alot of miles but I can tell someone took pretty good care of it. It has some normal wear and tear but as any Honda should it runs like a top. Family has helped me keep it up installing a new timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket, general tune-up. I do have a code P0420, so I replaced the rear O2, still no luck, I have another O2 but I'm thinking the cat is just not pulling its weight any more - near future purchase to see if it clears up the problem. That and a slightly lower-than-normal RPM (possibly due to the cat, and what the O2 sensors are telling the PCM, or a possible pain in the rear vacuum leak) but that's for later questions for the appropriate forum. I'll post picks once my account is good to go.
Well that's about it for now, I hope to get some help and possibly help some others, I do know a few things about Hondas, mostly D & B series though, and honestly more on the electrical/diagnostic side. See ya around, glad to be back!
