quick help! odometer prob

Default quick help! odometer prob

About to see a car to purchase and the owner says there is 113k miles. There odometer stopped working he says. Do I take his word for it? I'm going to be running a compression test on the engine. Is there anything else I could do? Its going to be in like an hour! need help fast! I cant beat the price for the car with a bat! let me know! thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Check the engine codes. if you get a code 17 (Honda OBD1) then he isn't lying. If you DONT get a code 17, then he isn't necessarily lying, but he could be. there could be a failed gauge.
