Default 92 ex

hello honda forum i have a 92 accord ex 5speed that i race in the cyber stock class at the local circle track never been a import guy so i think this forum will help me lots.
So far im inpressed with the honda its got the f22 engine and the darn thing just runs and runs even thow its got 250,000 it hasent failed to finish a race all season.
The high miles has me concerned especiacialy since im raceing at high rpms non stop usaly going into the corner in 2nd just barely hitting the rev on entry/
So i found a h23a1 dual cam for $200 dollars to have as a back up engine and was planing on going thru it this winter a checking it out if its not needed sooner and building it and using next year and having the f22 as the spare.
I was planing maybe cams and defently putting a aluminum fly wheel in as it will switch between the two blocks. any advice and tips would be apreciated the tracks dont allow v-tech head and no turbos. its going to be all motor NA
Oh also i need distributor and valve cover for my h23a1 dual cam if you have any leads thanks

If you have no idea when the timing belt was changed, replace it and the waterpump. These are interference engines.
Are there any rules against transmission changes?
Might want to look into using the 5spd out of a Prelude or H22 car. It will have lower gearing, and will provide you with more acceleration without the cost of looking non-stock.

Check the FAQ for more details.

Thanks for the input this is the first time ive ever played with hondas i have drag raced before but I was big block mopars this hondas seem to hold and have good power compared to the other make cars in the 4 cyl fwd class of circle track racing. And its the cheapest class to get into b4 putting together a V-8 Street stocker.
We can do transmission changes i will look for a prelude trans the stock accord trans is working good on the 1/4 mile but if i go to 3/8 mile track im sure i will have to run 3rd gear. I know second seems like crazy gear to be running in but its a 1/4 mile flat track very little banking
