Finally got me a Type R
Well, I've been in the car game since '98 in Dallas, TX and have basically only had civic hatchbacks. Within the last 4 years or so I steered away from Honda's (but still loved them) and got into Evo's. First, I had two Evo 8's and now a Evo X. Recently I got my girl an Evo too and she gave me her Galant to drive for daily/travel use because I gave up my company truck and get paid .55 cents a mile but I decided to sell the galant and found a nice 1997 CW ITR that had new paint, wire tuck and all carpet, dash and cluster was there so I just needed a engine, 5 lug and wheels and some seats. Here's a few pics of the car

Car needs a lot of work. Stolen motor on top of a wire tuck? Good luck with that.
Personally, I'd "untuck" ASAP and do the car correctly.
Looks like it lived the life of rice back in the day too

I know that car very well, actually got the lip for it. I almost purchased it when it had a JDM front and got wrecked
hit me up when needing more stuff

Dude, you are priceless. Is this what you do, just sit back and make fun of people's **** because somehow you have invested interest in it? If I put a JDM front on it, I dare someone to tell me something about it to my face, especially you. I want to stay completely original but I'm kinda having a hard time coming up with the parts that I need but I might be grabbing some 5x114.3 susp and wheels for really cheap so it probably wouldn't look right with a usdm front. But for your information, I'm leaning towards keeping it and just waiting til I find the right parts anyway. As far as the "untucking"...Please come help me do it because I do not have the time for that. I have just enough time to gather the parts the parts and put everything together in a couple of weekends.
don't worry about what some d bags have to say its your car and do what you please with it. some type r guys have their ******* nose to the sky and think their **** don't stink. mines tucked to and I get nothing but **** for it. I just tell them to pound sand and kick rocks. car looks like its got a fresh start at a great price! im jealous I love the 97 front ends!!

Why even buy the car if you don't have time for it then complain about that very fact? That car is a major project and I don't see how swapping front ends makes it any easier to complete and/or gets you any extra money.
In the grand scheme of things, it's a salvaged title car so it'll have less value, so have fun with it. Just seems a shame because '97's are hard to find in any form and like it or not--but the cars are getting rarer by the day and JDM fronts and hella-tight wire tucks don't help the value out.

Apparently, I'm an internet tough guy--just like you.

Hey, i'm happy you finally came up on a Type Wah. Not like two Evo Xs keep you busy or anything. lol. You've been around so long you can put a Ford Taurus front end on it and that would be fine by me. Hell, maybe we can throw Tool00 on the front as an emblem, since his head is so big.
