Noise canceling earbuds while welding.
I work in a manufacturing enviroment and use ear buds to drown everything out and just weld. Problem is this is my 4th set of Iphone Ibeat noise canceling earbuds (kept turning them in for exchange). My last one didnt even last a month and I decided to upgrade to the Itour earbuds. The issue is mainly that HF is messing with the controls. Im thinking if these go out im going to switch to another set. What are you guys using if any?
Messing with the phone controls or the inline controls in the headphones?
Go with a traditional set of earbuds with no inline controls.
I don't have any issues with my iphone while I weld, but I don't use earbuds. Just use my iphone 4S in a Bose for jams.

My phone has no problems unless if its charging on the computer. Then the HF messes with the computer and will go in and out of charge, not a big deal. Id rather have the inline control if possible then not, same with the ability to use the phone while welding. But if I have to then ill have to.
Check the user manual for your welder.
you should have another ground on the back of the unit that should be run into a grounding rod to prevent HF interference. In the user manual for my welder it suggests that the table and surrounding metal object be grounded with this grounding rod too.

The grounding system is tied to a grounded rod in the concrete. Machine is a Dynasty 350. But this problem was happening with the aerowave I was using as well as the syncrowaves. I work in a big aerospace coming that hopefully knows what there doing when they install these machines, thats why im thinking it was the headphones. But grounding issue was a thought of mine as well. Im going to take try to clean the ground points and see if that helps any.
