So my d16 was misfiring terrible and detonations on the exhaust... I replaced spark plugs tps and basicly rebuilt my distributer... And now im lost i could really use some help here... If any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks

 

did you check the ECU for any codes?

 

Yeah its not giving any codes that would affect the problem... I actually corrected the problem though... Now i have a vacuum leak... At least i think it is... When cranked it idles for a minute then it starts to rev to 1500 then back down... It stops when i pull the idle control... Think it might be the throttlebody gasket or the throttlebody plate... Really not sure... Going junkyard diving to grab a throtlebody in a lil bit

 

What were the symptoms bro, was it like bogging in the low rpms. Im might have the same problem with 89 si. Dont want to hijack your thread

 

The only symptom is once the motor warms up it starts surging idol.. Stops when you pull idle air control... Turns out it was actually a issue aith throttlebody not being seated right... Which when i dealt with my tps screwed other stuff up causing my.misfire problem.. Only step left is to reset this ecu with the raindance it requires... So lame..
