It's called a shift rod boot. #2 on the illustration....

So I have to pull the tranny from the motor? I can't replace it from under the car? Also, that rubber piece is suppose to be sealing the oil? cause the piece seems ok from looking at it. I just want to be positive if that is what is causing the leak or could there be something else.
^^^ That's the WRONG seal. Compare #2 boot I showed and the one from AutoZone....two totally different part. Go to your local Acura dealership (or online) and order the correct part. Looking at your first pic, it seems you have more leaks than just that particular part.

yes, you must remove the trans, split it, remove shifter assembly and pull that rod out to remove that seal, I just got done rebuilding 3 b series trans, there's no other way.
That's the only place I see the leak so it's got to be the rubber piece that's causing the leak right? And do you know about a DIY transmission removal thread or is it pretty straight forward but just removing bolts and nuts? I'm only 17 so my knowledge is very limited.
when following that DIY, you do not need to follow the steps in removing the gears or the differential, you just need to get it apart, pull the gear shifter and the bolts for the rod and pull the rod out.
But make sure when re-assembling, you read thru everything to make sure everything is where it needs to be when putting the case back together.

Ok, so the rod will slide out with the transmission when removing the transmission or do I have to unbolt something first? Because it seems to be connected to the tranny and the car?
You have to take the trans out of the car. Split the cases. Remove the reverse shifter/gear. Remove the shifter pin and shifter. Then take the forks/main/counter shafts out. DO NOT SEPERATE. Remember there are 2 shims at the bottom of the main shaft. Take the diff/fd gear out. You will have the shifter rod exposed. Remove the bolt holding the changer and then the bolt that is holding the ball/spring. A magnet is helpful. Pull the rod out and change the seal. Reverse everything to assemble and don't forget the HONDA BOND. Let that setup for 30 minutes min before adding oil.
Most of this is from memory but it's easier for me to just do it with the tranny in front of me. Good luck. If you don't want to attempt this, pm me or ask the guys at Synchrotech, a Honda service tech or any of the other guys on the forum (Aquafina, Bense, Chad) that have experience with transmissions.

Wait, I don't need to take the tranny apart if I'm only replacing the shift rod seal right? Because when I pull the tranny, I can pull that piece off and put the new seal on.
the trans MUST be removed from car and MUST be split.
You DO NOT need to remove the gear-sets or Differential. Just the reverse gear and shift changer, plus the bolts for the rod. And yes, remember to NOT lose the little ball the goes between one of the bolts and the shift rod.

I'd give it a try by just separating the shift linkage and worst case you fail and have to split the case and remove the shift rod.

you have to split the case, like I said, I just rebuilt a couple of these. The seal sits in a grove on the inside of the trans and you can't get it out or put one in without splitting it and removing the rod.
You can do that without opening the transmission. It may not be the easiest to do. You will need a good set of pliers and a driver to pry the seal out. When putting in the new seal you will need either a long socket or something similar to drive it back in evenly. Not used to doing it that way since we have the transmissions completely disassembled when it comes to removing that seal. But, I don't see any reason to take the trans apart to change this seal if your in a bind. Good luck!
