Default HELP!!! I need a ect connector to a 2009 honda civic

hello i need help!!!! I can not find the connector that plugs up to the ect sensor thats located on the bottom Radiator. when i was taking out my radiator i had a guy helping. Needless to say he did not see the connection and pulled it out. Well the wirers came out the plug its self and i have no clue how to wire it. i did the best i could , I cleaned it up and put both wires back into the plug THEN I INSTALLED THE RADIATOR. I turned the car on and its running fine but my check engine lights on now. So if any of you know where i can get an extra part please let me know. I have called Honda and they are telling me that i need the whole new harness thats 649.00 wow nooooooo. I have been to 4 junk yards and i cant find a Honda thats newer then 1999. I also call the ones that resale the parts you know where they will pick it for you well they are telling me they pull out the motors and radiators and will not cut the harness because it goes with the motor. wow im having hell please help me. i also called junk yards that will pull it for you and they are telling me they sell the harness with the motors so im screwed. i live in Houston,Tx and please help me find this part if you can. i have tried ebay craigslist amazon what else..... O ya all the auto part stores too nobody has it please tell me you have this part or can tell me how to wire this up cause im looking for a part with the wires allready connected where all i have to do is splice it thanks.

You have to get the whole harness, the only connectors honda sells seperate are head/tail light connectors and typically the horn connectors. So either new oem harness, used connector spliced in, or search until you find it, most likely a sumitomo or tyco connector.
Good luck.

-You could try re-pinning it. Of course that requires the pin tool, the correct pins and the correct crimper.

-You can find that harness for about $150 here: http://www.car-part.com/

-Try local craigslist. Like here: http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/3818214639.html

-Try finding newer Hondas and looking for that connector

-Try an ECT from another vehicle. One you can get the connector/wire for. Most of te ECT's for the 4 cylinders should be close in values. A pull-your-own place would be perfect for that.

-I don't condone this but, find a Civic in a car lot and remove the connector/wire in the middle of the night.

I believe the connector is a sumitomo connector. I had a similar issue with an oil pressure sensor and found it through Toyota. You could also try this site.
