Default Tire Size Questions

Alright so I'm gonna be getting new tires & wheels soon and on my prelude I used 205/40/17 or 205/45/17 (cant remember but not the point) anyways. I have a 00 civic si thats stock suspension although I plan on getting eibach coilovers later. So what would be a good tire size tire for this?I want low profile tires but not too thin. Im just getting 16" wheels. I would use the search tool but it wont let me for some reason on my phone.

Your car dictates what tire sizes you should be looking at, so whatever tires you used on your Prelude will have absolutely no effect on what tire size you should run on your Civic.

I'd recommend using a tire size calculator, like this: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator

So then I could use 205/45 without it rubbing? Even after i lower it? I only posted this bc I didnt know if that tire size looks stupid on a civic or not.

You never mentioned width/offset of the wheels... so I have no idea if it'll rub or not. Looks-related questions aren't really what matter compared to safe drivability.

205/40R17 would be the narrowest / lowest profile tire we could recommend for the Civic

Dont forget to roll your fenders, and an alignment always helps after a coilover install

I have a 205/55/r16 on my EG hatch and it rubs like hell. Ill be rolling the fenders tomorrow but I don't plan on using these tires much longer.
