Hello All,

I have a 91 honda accord MT. I recently found out that I chew up second gear in my H2U5 tranny. I got a donor from the salvage yard. The mounting bolts were broken so I swapped out the top casing. Now that I have everything back together the gears will move but will not go into second gear without some maneuvering. Have anyone had this happen to them. Please assist. Thanks.

 

I would say the odds of both trannies having problematic 2nd gears is really high but I guess it's still possible. If your junk yard has the standard 30 day warranty policy, I would say go back for round two. This time choose more wisely.
