F22B2 Automatic Turbo
I've been reading over most of the posts about going turbo for this F22 engine and have a few unresolved questions.
Question #1. Can low boost per se 5-7 lbs be used using a small turbo (DSM 14b or 16g) without using the upgraded head studs?
Question #2. Do the Honda Automatic Transmissions last any longer running low boost with a aftermarket transmission cooler?
Question #3. Would the A/C and all of its lines have to be removed?
Question #4. What are the expected gains in fuel mileage and horsepower?
And as for reliability would the Motor and Transmission hold out as long as they are in great shape and the maintenance is kept up on both?
I plan to daily drive this Accord and not beat on it to its death.

2. No, and don't listen to whatever Mishako129 will tell you if he happens to come upon this thread.
3. Perhaps, its all about the manifold. Definitely isn't easy.
4. Depends on your setup and ultimately your tuner/tune.
I thank you for the information and fast response. I hate to hear that about the automatic transmissions. I already have one that needs rebuilt and another that has been rebuilt. On your best guesstimate how many miles do they usually hold out for not abusing it? I am hoping to keep a/c because this car's a/c gets ridiculously cold! I totally understand it's all about the tune and the person who tunes it.
If you're not abusing it and it is just random spurts of fun I would say at least 100k, this assuming you're also keeping up with regular maintenance, installed transmission cooler 5"x10" minimum, and you are in fact not driving hard on a regular basis.
Though if your question was will they last as long as stock with a cooler slapped on? Hellz to the no.
Keeping a/c is all on your part and how you do it. Based on the manifold and turbo they can interfere with the stock a/c line routing. If you have the time/skill/money you can relocate the lines. (along the engine bay wheel well and firefall)
All in the tune, if your tuner thinks dumping fuel is the way to go, youll suffer in both departments.

Yes its just for random spurts of fun. I change my tranny fluid every other oil change. I change my oil every 3,000 miles religiously. I am going to try and keep the a/c. I'm just trying to make the car more fun. I'm not wanting to make anything over 200 to 220 whp.
That is actually pretty hard on an F with boost. I had troubles keeping mind under 235 with a fantastic tuner. I literally bottomed out my wastegate spring. You're better off converting to a 5spd, its honestly fairly easy and it makes your driving experience a hell of a lot more fun. Not to mention unless you feel like spending hundreds of dollars for a stand alone engine management system (like the AEM EMS) you won't be able to tune an auto.
Im in the same boat as 80sDubMix i finishing the last of my part runs for my build though not a 22b its a f22a1 in my cb7, pretty sure im the only one in my area thats going to have one let alone one with an auto tranny. but I've been very hard pressed to find what i feel is adequate information to do my build with some reliability(with in reason) so if anyone can point me to a thread that would be awsome
