My title basically says it all. I changed the belt out and it sounded like i had a valve just barely taping a piston but i did a compression test and all passed but i readjusted my cam but im still hearing the noise when i give it gas.

How do i go about doin that? My skill level is on the lower end of moderate.

 

What car and engine?

Is the engine properly timed and the timing belt properly tensioned?

 

1995 honda civic 1.6 vtech with a 1.6 head swap

you could be off a tooth on timing... you did not use the timing marks on the crank pulley did you? its best to use the timing mark on the lower timing gear and the oil pump.
