Default SI or..

Hey guys I'm new here! Just wondering what your thoughts are on a few of my questions. I just sold my current vehicle and am now on the hunt for an 8th gen civic. I've actually been searching for months trying to find an SI within my price range (9-11K) but it's been going pretty bad lol. A lot of SI's up for sale have high mileage and are overpriced because they know someone will buy it. My question is should I keep searching? I mean, I've already been looking for a long time, and I would absolutely LOVE an SI but I may have to settle for an EX. What would you do? I know the 1.8 civics are pretty slow, but should I go with one anyways? Sorry for kind of rambling on but I'm just curious as to what you Civ experts would do. I work at a shop so I know the car is going to be maintained very, very well so maybe I should suck it up and get an SI with higher mileage? Just don't wanna make a mistake buying one because I know used SI's are obviously pretty dicey when buying one. Sorry for long post but hope you guys can give me some insight! Thanks guys.

I have two 2013 civic's. Mine is an Si and my wife's is an LX. The LX is great for long trips because it uses regular fuel has the 1.8 motor so obviously gets better gas mileage than the Si. I personally enjoy the Si better. Why. simply put...its faster than a regular civic. Good luck in your hunt for a new car.
