Default obd1 accord distributor in a crx?

Hello,
I am converting my CRX to obd1. I got a obd1 distributor from a 1994 accord. looked like a civic one to me. It mounts up to the block and I plugged it all in with my wire harness.
(I also have an ECU harness to run a p05 ecu...)
The car would not start. It turned over very unusually almost like the battery was dead, when it was fully charged.
I reverted back to obd0 and it fired right up and turned over normally again.

Basically, my question is: will a obd1 accord dizzy work for a d16 civic, or is it giving me these issues?? thanks!!

I assume you used a conversion harness for the dizzy and used the P05 with a harness?

it doesn't work because an accord uses an external coil. so your not getting power to the plugs
