F22B1 SWAP
Hello, Im going to be doing a engine swap real soon because I have a massive oil leak and what it costs to get it fixed, mite as well swap a new engine in, its not worth getting fixed anyway because the old engine has got 343xxx miles on it. I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me what kind of tools I should go out and buy, and possibly a guide on the basics of swapping engines.
Thanks
Thanks
Lots of info on swaps in the FAQ; https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/1990-2002-accord-faq-1664547/
A bit of info on what year your Accord is and what engine you have now wouldn't hurt. Along with a budget, how much are you looking to spend on the engine and tools? There are a few different engines or builds you could do for added power. Also mentioned in the FAQ.
What sort of tools do you already have?

I have a 1996 Honda accord EX with the stock F22B1.
Im poor so I want to swap an engine thats affordable and will be simple like a H22 or something.
Tools, Im on a tight budget so probably something that wont break out of the box but will hold up.
My budget is 800$ all together

Well if your engine is burning oil then I would opt for another '96-'97 B1 with an $800 budget. Unless you can find a complete H22 car for that price.
If you are merely leaking oil, locate the leaks and fix them. I think most leaks can be solved for ~$120 with a new oil pressure switch, VC, OP and dist seals and gaskets. Clean your EGR and enjoy the B1 til you have more funds.

^^x2 basic maintenance over speed parts. Not much sense in spending money modifying an engine with go fast parts if your brakes and suspension are going to fail within a month.
