So I'm looking into buying this jdm itr b18c block from a buddy for $300 it does need some TLC..its at the machine shop right now it will need to be bored out to 82mm he's including everything I need for the block minus pistons and rods Crank needs to be cut .10 also
So my question is.. is it worth $300
The block is still at the machine shop and I haven't had a chance to check it out just wanna get some input before giving thumbs up

What do you want to do with the block? Is it already being bored and honed before you buy it, or will you have to get it done?

 

above question is a big point

a type r crank that needs nothing is still a solid 200 dollar part

82mm is also maxed out on stock sleeves. what damaged it to the point it needed this kind of overbore?

add up the cost of all the parts and see what numbers you get

remember a complete jdm itr engine with high compression is 2500 shipped and that's every damn sensor, oil pan to TB

everything is compression tested to

website isn't always up to date but they do full engines for 2500 shipped or full swaps for 3500 shipped
