I rear ended a suv at very slow speed. there was no other damage but the hood has come up a bit. the support beam with the hood latch has been pushed up a bit.
I was quoted 1600$. can I do it by just hammering the support in.

yes. but i am scared of the hood popping up at highway speeds.
the hood is pushed up almost an inch near the hood latch

prolly, just hammer lightly don't bash the shizz out of it.

 

do i need to remove the radiator? there are a couple of supports on that bar

 

Detach the upper rad mounds, and place heavy cardboard in front of the rad and on top to prevent any damage.

If you can take a shot of the rad support to show how it is raised up would be helpful.

Take a shot of where the hood latch is as well. Possibly it has been pulled 'down' in relation to the hood when you nerf'd the SUV.

 

When i took it to a body shop they said the hood pulled up the support bar. You can see is raised near the hood latch.
Will hammer it down and see.
