i just got my car back from the repair shop, and i noticed that the rear decal is different than before, do you think they jipped me, and put a fake one...although it looks right just that the "integra" & the "type" are different colors, any opinions

they're definitely different colors, they're reversed, i know acuraautomotiveparts.net has different part numbers for the ITR stickers based on the exterior color of the car.

eh just take it off, take off the word "acura" on the top left and shave the keyhole but leave the A emblem... it would look nice.. but yea.. cost some money .

How does it compare to the ones on the sides?

 

Did you get a new bumper or did they repair the damaged one?

the ones on the sides are just like the old one. so they obviously don't match

 

Take all the R stickers off ...... car looks better that way.

Just be prepared for a few hours of work (at least that is what it took me, even using a blow dryer ........)

i think you may have gotten the R stickers meant for a PY or CW itr...

 

yeah the color of the stickers differ w/ the different color R's

 

they replaced and repainted an new bumper and the metal piece below the lights, they also repainted the whole right side of the car, because some haters keyed it here's a another pic i took today

yep, they ordered the wrong part number based on the color of your car. if it bothers you enough, take it back to them and ask them to replace it with the correct part.

 

i guess thats what happened, they put the one for the py instead of the nbp, i had no idea that there are differently colored decals for both car colors....................but for curiosity sake can anybody actually verify that the rear decal on the py or cw looks like that. thanks guys

You know whats weird, I was going through some of my pics to see how other Rs looked...and I noticed that it looks like some PY Rs have light colored "TYPE" and others have dark colored "TYPE"...wtf?






Any PY owners can confirm this?

I just picked up the correct stickers from the dealership...they ordered the wrong ones, I'm going to pull the current stickers off the car and apply the new ones whenever I feel like it, going to run around in stealth mode for a while...not like a NHBP with a CF hood, and MF-10's is stealth

Did you notice that they replaced your rear brake lights as well? That's a '97-'99 set iirc b/c of the orange... 2000-2001 didn't have that orange... that's a bigger deal than the emblem.
