I have recently purchased a set of 16x7 inch rims to replace my current rims. My car has not been modified at all (suspension is bone stock) and figure I have two options as far as tire size goes, 205/50R16 and 225/50R16 I am certain the smaller size will fit with no problems at all, but would like the extra stickyness that comes with the larger size, I looked for 215's but, there aren't many tires available for that size.

I guess my question is, will 225/50R16's fit on an 02' ep3 that has not been lowered?

The roads are awful where I live, tall tires are a must unless I want a broken spine.

 

That's the stock diameter for 04/05. They will fit fine.

 

I'm lowered about 1" with 225/50R16 tires and 16x7 +40 wheels and I don't rub anywhere so you should be fine
