body paint
I dont know where would be best to post this so ill try it here.
Ok so I just bought me a 1992 si hatch. It is completely stripped as of now besides the rear windows.
No dash
No windshield
No engine
Etc....
The body was freshly painted. And the rear quarters were replaced.
Who ever did the body work did a shity job. On the rear you can see the lines where they laid the body filler. Its hard to actually show it in pictures.
Also the driver door is wavy.
So my main questions are what would be the best option to fix the wavy door. And the rear quarters
Should I body fill the door or buy a new one.
I'm wanting to try and do all the body work myself besides the paint. So if I prepped the whole car myself what would be a good estimate to get my car professinaly painted for?
I just bought a 92 hatch and I'm going to repaint the whole car do to waves in the door and waves/lines on the rear quarters from when they were replaced. The car is freshly painted not even wet sanded/ buffed or anything so it is a shame that they couldn't take the extra time to do it right . So me being extremely picky I want it done the right way. But I'm going to need your guys help on a few things.
I want my car professionally painted inside and out but feel that I can do the rest myself with some help.
Should I just sand the rears back down and use body filler to get rid of the lines and waves on the rear? And what would be the best way to go about the doors?
If I have everything prepped we will say 80% of the way what would you say a good estimate would be in getting the whole car painted inside and out including engine bay by reputable shop not including paint.
This is my first big build where everything is getting done to the car.
