After months and months of searching for another '98-01 Type R Front lip, I found something even better - the whole OEM Kit!!! One of the employees of an Acura dealership I went to had this Frost white OEM Kit lying around his house because some customer didn't like that the shade wasn't exact. So he held onto it because he was thinking of buying an Integra. Well, that deal fell through and he got stuck with the kit. Basically, he told me that for $300, he'll give me the Type R Front Lip, the Sideskirts, and the Rear Attachments - and with a little pushing, he threw in an extra pair of Rear Attachments for free, but in Silver.

I only needed the Front Lip because I already have the sides and the rear, but for the $300, I couldn't pass up buying the whole kit. SO, I may sell them but I'm not sure. It depends how much people are offering. I definitely will sell the Silver Rear Attachments, since my car is white, so check on eBay in the next week or so.

 

Yeah..I know what you mean. Back in '99 when I bought the whole kit off some dude on eBay, I won the auction for $300. Nowadays, that's close to the going price for just the damn lip (check completed items on eBay and you'll see)!!!

 

Sweet find! You would definately make a nice profit off of that kit if you sold it on eBay. I like my kit too much to sell it for a profit Someone needs to let Honda know how much these things are in demand! It probably costs them nothing to produce! They would make a $$$ killing .

I totally agree with you. I was shocked when I first heard that they were going to discontinue the kit back in '99. Someone over there messed up. Well actually, if you see how much they were selling the kit at Acura, you'll know why people didn't buy it - it was going for well over $1000 which was a complete rip-off...

do you know if the rear pieces are satin silver or vogue silver?

 

Good question....and I'm not sure. Did both shades of silver come out in the 98-01 Integras?

yea if it was prepainted then it's vogue silver. for some reason, i was assuming they were repainted.
