I just bought a USDM itr steering wheel for pretty cheap. Anyone know if the cruise control delete cover just pops off? i'm trying to install it on my gsr but can't get the airbag out.

I don't want to break it but i've been trying to pull it off? Also if anyone knows, can I just put any cruise control unit to work on my gsr? I have a 95 not sure if the cruise control matters if its obd1 or obd2

lol if only I can get it off. Im at the point where I feel like its going to break if I pull any harder. I think its screwed in on from the inside?

I don't see how thats possible b/c this blocks the screw to take the airbag off.

 

USDM ITR steering wheel = GSR steering wheel. What's the point?

And yes, the cover just pops off, but it is very easily broken.

 

Probably wants the "A" in acura instead of A C U R A on his 95, if it is a 98-01 wheel lol

 

And, he can put "ITR steering wheel" as a mod in his signature.

 

lol thanks I did figured it out after breaking it. The two pieces were really stuck together. Well I got the itr wheel for a steal vs finding a non type r wheel, plus I did want the A vs the A C U R A. looks better imo + I like the leather stitched cover

 

98+ gsr with leather all had wrapped wheels. damn kids

I'm pretty sure you will have to use a obd2 clock spring if you want to use the obd2 air bag.

 

will obd2 clock spring work on obd1? but i can just swap the obd2 airbag for a obd1 to make it work. But it might be easier to get my hands on a obd2 clock spring if that works instead.

Yes. A obd2 clock spring will work on a obd1 vehicle. The connector on the obd2 air bag is what is different.

 

thanks good to know. Do you know if the passenger side airbag for obd1 is the same plug for steering wheel airbag obd1? or obd2 passenger side airbag plug is the same for steering wheel obd2 plug?
