Default fixing a front bumper/fender bolt loop thing

sorry didn't know what it was called lol. My bumper on the passenger side is busted and vibrates a lot which is quite annoying. do you guys have any creative fixes to this or am I just going to have to buy a new bumper?

bumper is broken, and the fender area where the bolt goes through is also broken in the same manner!!!

NO ^ drill a new hole and zip tie...looks better then duct tape and you can "hide" it on the inside of the bumper/wheel well.

The hole in the fender is elongated and uses a plastic insert for the screw to screw into. If the hole in the fender is just bent out of shape, gently hammer it back, get a replacment insert and screw and add a large OD flat washer to clamp what's left of the bumpers hole.

I'm actually doing this with my Civic because I have the same exact problem on my passenger side, look exactly like my bumper. and sadly... I own a Nissan too, and boy do I hate it.

@OP any pics of the fender?

no pics of the fender unfortunately. this is actually my "old" bumper. I replaced it with a new one because of this issue, and then last night i hit a ****ing raccoon or something that tore apart my new one LoL... talk about crap luck

anyway that busted new bumper is still attached to my car and I don't want to take it off until I have a fix because it was a pain in the *** to get on with a busted fender....

I got it to work by putting a washer above and below it, and then uber tightening the bolt to basically hold the fender/bumper together like a vise.

I had this problem with my rear bumper. I JB welded a washer (Flattened 2 of the sides with a grinder to a semi-oval shape) to the the plastic of the bumper to fix this. Held up fine for over a year til I found a rear bumper at a recycler

thanks all for the suggestions. Waiting for the weekend, and I think I'll try to do something with washers (not sure quite what yet though since I no experience/equipment with welding!)

@grumble, i'm having a hard time visualizing what to do with your pic?
