Default Door Ajar/ Interior Light Problems

When I open my driver's side door on my SH3, the interior light is SUPER dim and is useless at night, so I turn it off... but when I open my passenger side door, the interior is bright as can be. I wanna say its something to do with the sensors, which are also goofed up, cause when I start up and shut my door, it still registers 'ajar' and the unbuckled driver light starts flashing after I get going when I am buckled up... help and advice would be appreciated

yea seems like the switch, could just need a clean up. probably a bad ground on in. id swap the switches from the pass. side and see if its that.

Your door latch switches are what control the light on the gauge cluster. And the L shaped switches on the door jamb are what control the interior light. The L switches can be taken apart, the spring inside stretched ever so slightly, and the point where the metal contacts can be scuffed up. That should get your interior light working

Never worked on door latch switches yet , it would be worth a shot to reseat the connector a few times and clean out the door latch really good.
