Hello all. I own a 1990 accord. Did an f22a swap, roh conversion and various suspension part replacements about 2 years ago. Developed a leak along my steering rack, power steering has been removed from the vehicle.said screw it ill worry about it later. Well 2 years later here i am. I have a vibration at highway speeds on the steering wheel and chassis that is accompanied by a irregular pulling to the right and left back and forth depending on which way im steering. I figured that the time has come to replace the steering rack. I don't feel like rebuilding mine so a remanufactured unit is the wway I plan to go.

Where should I invest. I see autozone has a dorman model and also there is an a1 carsone model at many other sites along with the OEM model lol whose got the cash for that. Anyways any thoughts on the cardone model vs the duralast model. Thanks in advance

I forgot what brand I have in my Accord but it is the biggest piece of **** there is. I replaced my OEM rack last August, then had it replaced AGAIN in February, and when I was under my car last week I noticed the damn thing is leaking AGAIN. So, this will be the 3rd rack in one year.....it came from CarQuest

 

Google "rack doctor"and you will see the results. I got one about 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Also he supplies them to a lot of car manufacturers.
