Default nonvtec mini me swap issue

so heres the deal I have a 93 ex civic coupe 5 speed that someone had put a d15b7 in and bent 6 valves...I had a d16y7 head that I decided to put on. I had to get a d16z6 dizzy for it to work and change one head bolt...well heres where I am stumped...I have tried every timing belt for every sohc civic from 1988-2001 and they are all too big...are my parts stores retarded and giving me wrong belts or am I missing something..i tried the b7 belt with both cams tried the y7 belt with both cams more slack yet..any help would be greatly appreciated..also have questions on the ecu..the stock p28 is in it even though its a non vtec motor I know it will run should I run that ecu or use the p07 or p06 ecu's that I have

use the p06 ecu if you have it.

im actually doing same swap y7 head on b7, ive always heard you had to use the y7 timing belt but i havent gotten that far yet...did you replace your belt tensioner when you did the belts cuz if not the old one could be shot

also i thought you could use the b7 distributor?

First off, the z6 distributor is not the correct distributor to run your d16y7 head... you should be using a Y7 distributor. Have heard you can use B7 distributor on Y7/Y8 heads, but never done it personally so I cannot verify if this is true or not.

And the belt you will need, as mentioned is the VX d15z1 belt. Gates #T223.

Use the P06 that you have; otherwise you will get CEL's.

And a MINI ME swap is a SOHC NON vtec block with a SOHC VTEC head. Not just a head/block swap
