So Saturday morning before I went in for work, there was car show held at the local weekend festival we have around this time of year and I rolled upon a MK2/MK3 VW Jetta VR6 and it had the factory Recaro seats... this gave me the idea of potentially purchasing and installing the seats into my STD hatch. I know the rears WILL NOT fit due to the shape towards the shoulders, but, to (possibly) get rid of the blue vinyl seats in the rear... I might go with some CRX blue/gray cloth seats. Don't get me wrong... I like my interior that I currently have, the front seats just need to be reupholstered bc they're faded. Would the Recaros fit on the factory rails? Or will I need custom? Or can I even possibly get some Bride rails?

 

It depends. You might get them to fit the stock rails, but in the crx at least the rails are not flat. You need spacers of 2 or 3 different sizes to get the seat level, and then it will sit higher than the stock seat. There are companies that make brackets for aftermarket rails, and there are some rails that bolt on. Don't know if Bride makes them specifically for our cars but again they will probably sit higher than stock.

 

Crx rails will not bolt up to anything but a crx seat pan.
Also blue/grey crx rear seats? No such thing smh. Did you try googling

"will vw jetta recaros fit crx" I bet you would have found your answer posted.

Bride rails wont do anything for you.
