My fog light switch stopped working and I need to wire a new one. Problem is there are 4 wires and most switches only use 3 inputs, some only use 2. The wire colors are orange, black, black w/ yellow stripe, and Red w/ white stripe. Is it possible to combine 2 of the wires or should I just pay the extra money and find an exact replacement switch?

 

No one even knows what switch you bought to replace the old one nor what the colors of those wires are supposed to be.

 

Or.car.....but i'll just say yes and no.
