Default Test drove civic, reverse was hard to find

ok granted i havent driven stick in a couple years, but its like riding a bike, he said it had been sitting a couple weeks, it started right up idle was a tad...off? and the inside tread was worn on both sides, when i put it in reverse to back out i put the clutch to the floor gave her some gas eased off but i felt nothing in my foot,i stalled so smooth it surprised me, (later realized it was so much play in the pedal that i could bounce it back and forth with my finger) im no mechanic, or a stick shift expert, but i dont remember reverse being so weak, and hard to find...and CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG but when you put that clutch to the floor shouldnt it NOT stall.... or disengages it right? anyway i like the car jus wondering if anybody has a clue as to what that might mean, and could it be something simple? its a 93 ex coupe...thanks and sorry if this post is misplaced

I would assume the shift linkage is worn out as far as it being hard to find. About stalling in reverse, I don't know how good anyone can answer that without feeling the car.
